Default Pascual Matos' 6 RBI lead Cariparma to comeback win

FORTIDUDO wasted no time to fulfill their favorite status and scored three runs in the first on their way to an easy 7-0 shutout against the RANGERS. Jesus Matos struck out eight in six two-hit innings for the win. Richard Austin hit a solo homerun, drove in two and scored three times. Juan Angrisano also had two RBI.

George Delgado got the start for REDIPUGLIA. He allowed nine hits, six runs (5 ER) and three base on balls in five innings, striking out ten.

The series between SAN MARINO and TELEMARKET moved to Rimini. But the outcome was the same, a shutout for T&A. They scored five runs in the first en route to an 8-0 victory. Francesco Imperali went four-for-five with two runs scored and a RBI. Dean Rovinelli and Riccardo Suardi each drove in two.

Tiago Da Silva gave up just five hits in seven scoreless innings for the win. Chris Di Roma was charged with eight hits, six runs (4 ER) and a walk in two-plus innings.

DE ANGELIS had won just three games this season, but on Friday evening they came through and upset the 2007 Italian champion and European Cup runner up GROSSETO. They took a 1-0 lead in the third on Mike Lockwood?s sac fly. However the ORIOLES came back, tied the contest in the fourth through Gabriele Ermini?s RBI single. Two frames later they even got up 2-1 after a RBI double by Jairo Ramos. But this was not enough. Lockwood was not finished with his work and delivered the GODO victory with a two-run single in the top of the eighth to bring the score to 3-2.MONTEPASCHI went down 1-2-3 in the eighth and the ninth and lost the series opener.

Ryan Baerlocher (GOD) gave up seven hits, two runs and a walk in six innings. Lincoln Mikkelsen (GRO) opposed him at the start of the game and allowed two runs (1 ER) on five hits in 7 2/3 innings. Kyle Collina picked up the win for three one-hit innings of relief. Chris Cooper took the loss.

CARIPARMA overcame a 0-6 deficit after three periods and defeated NETTUNO 7-6 in nine innings. Pascual Matos single-handed brought PARMA back into the victory lane. First he reduced the gap with a bases clearing triple in the fourth and delivered the decisive hit in the seventh, when he hit a three-run homerun.

Giuseppe Mazzanti homered twice for* DANESI and drove in three. Luis Ugueto was two-for-five with two RBI.

Nelson Cruz (NET) allowed three hits, four runs and five walks in five innings. Hector Mercado (PAR) gave up ten hits, six runs (5 ER) and three bb in 5 2/3 innings. Josmir Romero received the win, Frailyn Florian the loss.
