The German
MLB-portal MLBInsider.de interviewed recently the German prospect
Donald Lutz, who is currently in extended spring training and will begin his first minor league season for the Cincinnati Reds organization this summer. Before he went to the United States, he played for the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE REGENSBURG.
Lutz also played with his brother
Sascha (MAINZ ATHLETICS) for the national team at the Final Olympic Qualifier this spring. He is one of five German players, who are under contract with Major League organizations. He is accompanied by former teammates
Rodney Gessmann (Twins) and
Ludwig Glaser (Angels), in addition to
Jennel Hudson (Red Sox) in the US. All four are expected to start the season in Rookie ball. Newly signed
