You can't receive any gifts or anything for free except TEAM equipment. However, you can get paid and receive gifts and still play NAIA baseball for four years. If you are exceptional teams ARE going to look into where you have played.... colleges aren't dumb. I work at a NCAA school and they will do all the research, so that they don't get sanctioned or punished for signing a former pro. So these so called loopholes.... and there are some, should be looked into before signing.
